MIPS Open Tools includes MIPS Open Certified Integrated Development Environment (IDE), reducing fragmentation, that provides an extensible framework for third party tools for the MIPS software developer to compile, build, debug, and deploy applications on MIPS Open based hardware and software platforms.
Initial release, includes two editions of the MIPS Open IDE for both 64-bit Windows and Linux hosts:
Embedded Edition – for the development of standalone embedded applications or applications hosted by Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
Embedded Linux Edition – for the development of user-space applications hosted by Embedded Linux
For each edition, compatible MIPS toolchain and runtime environments are provided through the MIPS Open software portal or download links embedded in the IDE.
